Quick install after download

  1. Keep the downloaded ZIP as a ZIP file. Do not extract it for Iris or OptiFine.
  2. Place the ZIP in your .minecraft/shaderpacks folder.
  3. Launch Minecraft with Iris or OptiFine enabled.
  4. Open Options, Video Settings, Shaders, then select the pack.
  5. Start on Medium or Potato, then raise quality if FPS stays stable.

Who should download Complementary Unbound

Choose Unbound if you spend most sessions outdoors in survival: forests, villages, oceans, and long trips where you still need to spot mobs and terrain edges.

Choose Reimagined instead if you mainly want punchier screenshots or a more directed color grade for builds.

Install Unbound without common mistakes

  1. Download the latest Unbound build above (r5.9.3 unless a modpack pins an older file).
  2. Keep the ZIP intact and put it in .minecraft/shaderpacks.
  3. Enable it under Options → Video Settings → Shaders with Iris or OptiFine.
  4. Start on Medium or Potato, then raise quality only after FPS feels stable.

Notice: If the pack never appears in the list, confirm the folder path in the install guide before redownloading.
