complementaryshaders.net is an independent download and guide site for Complementary Shaders on Minecraft Java Edition. Complementary Unbound, Complementary Reimagined, Iris install steps, settings profiles, and common fixes live here.

Complementary Shaders are created by Complementary Development. This site is not the official studio website and is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.

Start with the download page for r5.9.3 packs, then the install guide. For style, read Unbound vs Reimagined. Complementary does not run on Bedrock; see the Bedrock page.

We keep shader packs zipped, match loader versions to Minecraft, and test updates in a copy world. Those habits sit in the safe update guide and the versions catalog.
